Glottkin - Part 7

After what seems like an age I think I have the top of the head done. I have done my best to throw all sorts of transition to give this thing a life like feel.

In the bottom left corner you can see some veins that I painted a mid blue to help them stand out, edged with purple and then a thin green glaze over the top.

And then the other

There are three pieces to paint up to complete the top, these are torch you see and two others. These will be next on my list.

  1. Love the paint job so far, especially the different shades are really well done! It's a big project that you started there, I am looking forward to more progress!
On another note I got the first test cast of the berserker, the casting quality is superb, I'll just have to redo the scabbard because it didn't get cast and then I will send the model and a cast of it to you!
    Cheers,

  3. Yeah it is, I'm just "moving back" to Germany, so there's quite a bit to sort out. The last bits will be sent to the caster tomorrow morning, then it's just a matter of time and you should get a parcel as well... ;-)
Great torch that you showed in update nr. 8, although I think that a very thin brown glaze for the wood will help, without enlargening the picture I wasn't sure wheather it was painted or not, because it seemed a bit too grey. But the grain of the wood and the blue flame effect look great!
